Many metal marine tanks use a standard SAE 5-hole inspection plate that either covers an inspection port or is used to mount the old float sensor.

Our adaptor plate replaces this and has a 1" NPT threaded hole in the center for mounting the internal sensor making installation of an internal sensor very easy.
