Signal Mate Portable Sound & Light Signal Control System is a self-contained, automatic controller that provides the required USCG sound and light signals for a vessel during restricted visibility or emergency situations.
Features:
Designed to produce signals specifically required by U.S. Coast Guard rules and regulations
Sound signals include vessel appropriate fog signals, Danger/Doubt signal and the Distress sound signal (continuous horn or SOS), or manual horn
Light signals include standard repeating SOS, the Inland Distress of 50 to 70 flashes per minute continuously, or anchor light
Controller has (2) outputs that can be used independently or synchronized – allowing for use of horn and / or light for signaling
Push-button operation for easy selection of specific signals used for restricted visibility, danger / doubt, in need of assistance, or distress (inland and international)
Light or horn can be operated independently or synchronized (USCG rule 36)
(3) modes of operation: manual, automated, or simply on / off
Side receptacle allows use of a additional, portable search light during restricted visibility or emergency
Unit is pre-wired and ready for immediate use
User friendly operation – 1) remove horn and LED light, connect battery, insert horn into bracket and position light for maximum visibility, 2) close bag and start signaling
